For Fall/Winter 2011 Lizzie Fortunato Jewels returns to the american west, drawing on the tales of pioneer women, vintage zodiac pictures, and native american beading for inspiration. Isabella Bird, a 19th century natural historian who covered 800 miles of the rocky mountains on horseback, emerged as the muse for the collection rife with styles that are once organic and strong: perfect for the fearless explorer eager to make a statement. The FW11 lookbook was illustrated by Bernadette Pascua, who captured the essence of the season with stunning watercolors, astrological sketches, and our own pioneer lady and harvest moon on the center spread.
